PhD in Psychology for the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM; 2015). Specialist in Clinical Psychology via PIR, having done his residency at the Hospital Universitario Príncipe de Asturias between 2006 and 2009. Since September 2010 he has been working with substance abuse clients and since October 2013 he has combined this activity with teaching as an Associate Professor in the Department of Personality, Evaluation and Clinical Psychology at the UCM. He is passionate about clinical practice, although he also considers it essential to keep in touch with the research and teaching sides of the profession, as he understands that these three areas are complementary and support each other. He also feels great interest, both theoretical and practical, in the contextual therapies developed within the cognitive-behavioral orientation (mainly, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy).
