Resumen

Esta investigación busca dilucidar la contribución fundamental del arte militar medieval a la evolución de las fiestas cortesanas y el teatro premoderno. Examina una serie de perfiles biográficos de figuras que, entre finales del siglo XV y el siglo XVII, se desenvolvieron en la intersección de la ingeniería militar y la producción teatral. A partir de esta evidencia historiográfica, el estudio analiza los marcos teóricos y prácticos que facilitaron la convergencia de estos ámbitos aparentemente dispares. Esta influencia interdisciplinaria finalmente declinó en el siglo XVIII, a medida que el rol del técnico teatral se asimilaba a las estructuras emergentes del teatro empresarial, catalizadas por las reformas teatrales contemporáneas.

Astract

This research seeks to elucidate the foundational contribution of medieval military art to the evolution of courtly festivals and pre-modern theater. It examines a series of biographical profiles of figures who, between the late fifteenth and seventeenth centuries, operated at the intersection of military engineering and theatrical production. Based on this historiographical evidence, the study analyzes the theoretical and practical frameworks that facilitated the convergence of these ostensibly disparate domains. This cross-disciplinary influence eventually declined in the eighteenth century, as the role of the theatrical technician was assimilated into the emerging structures of entrepreneurial theater, catalyzed by contemporary theatrical reforms
