Tablao Flamenco Cordobés

The Tablao Flamenco Cordobés announces two Tablao Flamenco Cordobés Scholarships, aimed at promoting training in flamenco for students who are going to enroll in the Master's Program in Continuing Education in Flamenco organized by the Complutense University of Madrid.
The Master's in Flamenco is a specialized program adapted to the European Higher Education Area, offering 60 recognized training credits. It delves into the theory and interpretation of flamenco, bringing together top-level specialists and performers from the flamenco scene.
Tablao Flamenco Cordobés is the historic flamenco venue in Barcelona par excellence. Founded in 1970, under the direction of a family of artists, it has attracted legendary flamenco figures to Barcelona since its inception, establishing itself as a reference in the flamenco world.
Recipients
The purpose of these scholarships is to contribute to the knowledge of flamenco. They are open to all individuals interested in flamenco who aspire to develop or consolidate their professional careers in this sector, either from the research field or through interpretative practice.
Requirements

Have completed the pre-registration for the Master's Program in Continuing Education in Flamenco at UCM before July 5, 2023.

The application must be accompanied by the required documentation; otherwise, the proposal will be considered invalid. Additional documentation may be requested if deemed necessary.
Documentation
In addition to completing the pre-registration on the UCM platform, candidates must attach the following documentation to the email address flamenco@ucm.es:
- Letter of application explaining the reasons for requesting the scholarship (maximum 2 pages).
It is also recommended to attach:

Unemployment demand certificate, in case of unemployment.

Employment contract and the last three payslips, for employed individuals.

For financially independent students, a copy of the 2022 tax return.
If the minimum income requirement for filing a tax return is not met, an exemption certificate must be attached. Self-employed professionals must also submit a copy of the 2022 annual summary.

In the case of financially dependent students from the family unit or those with a joint declaration, the tax return of both parents or the couple, as applicable, for the year 2022 should be submitted.

Copy of the family book, if there are dependents.
Amount
Each Tablao Flamenco Cordobés Scholarship is endowed with a financial grant of ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EUROS (€1,500.00).
Receiving these scholarships is incompatible with receiving other grants for flamenco training. It does not imply employment affiliation with the organizing institutions.
Application Period
From June 7 to July 5, 2023, until 23:59 (GMT).
Selection and Awarding
The selection criteria for granting the scholarships will consider the availability and commitment of the applicants to complete the Master's program during its duration.
The Selection Committee will consist of a member from Tablao Flamenco Cordobés, a representative from the Complutense University of Madrid, and a representative from the professional flamenco sector.
The results of the selection process will be announced in July. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final.
Recipient's Commitments
Recipients of the TABLAO FLAMENCO CORDOBÉS SCHOLARSHIPS commit to successfully completing the Master's program in Flamenco during its one-year duration, complying with attendance requirements and evaluations for each subject.
Scholarship recipients must pay the required fees and the remaining amount to complete 100% of the tuition, which is set at 3,500 euros. To fulfill this, the student will pay an amount of 2,000 euros.
