Information

Who is it for? 

It will be possible to access with an official Spanish or foreign university degree, according to what is included in the admission regulations of the Complutense University of Madrid. It is recommended for graduates of music and dance conservatories, graduates and graduates in Music History and Sciences, graduates in Musicology, graduates in Music and graduates in other disciplines with an interest in flamenco, although other access routes may be contemplated due to to the interdisciplinarity of these studies and the presumable access of students from other countries of the European Union or Latin America. A specific test will not be carried out, although previous training and adaptation to the profile of the Master's Degree will be taken into account in the admission process.


Where and when are the classes held? 

Classes are taught online, except for specific sessions that will be at the School of Geography and History of the Complutense University of Madrid, Profesor Aranguren  street, S/N (Ciudad Universitaria metro), and that will be notified in due time. Theoretical-practical classes will be on Thursdays and Fridays from 16:00-18:30.


Which is the Master's tuition fee? Can I apply for a scholarship?

The tuition fee is 3,500 euros, however, we will offer certain scholarships to national and international students, students with a disability and members of the UCM (up to a 30% discount).


What is the internship program like? 

The offer of the master's degree will be completed with a supervised internship program in companies and institutions of recognized prestige linked to flamenco, in which the student will be able to carry out tasks of a professional nature in the field of cataloguing, analysis, management and interpretation. . Among the centers that already have an agreement with the UCM are the Círculo Flamenco de Madrid, the Juan March Foundation, the National Library of Spain, the Víctor Espinós Library, the Institute of Gypsy Culture, the Corral de la Morería or the Construction Workshop of guitars by Felipe Conde.


What will I obtain when I finish my studies? 

You will obtain knowledge transmitted by great flamenco masters, flamenco professionals, top-level researchers and a Master's certificate from the Complutense University of Madrid.
