General Information

The Knowledge Transfer Office was founded in 1989 to bridge the gap between business and academia with the main purpose of fostering the relationship between University and Enterprises, thus promoting the effective transfer of technology produced by the university to the industrial sector.

The Office has the following critical objectives:

  • To develop a database containing the research lines and the Complutense University's offer for R&D.

  • To identify research efforts that can be transferred to companies according to their needs and to negotiate research contracts to implement them.

  • Advising researchers on issues concerning research contracts, Spanish and European R&D project proposals and patent procedures both on a national and an international scale.
