María Vega Sanz
María graduated in Psychology from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas. Also, she completed a master's degree in Neuropsychological Evaluation and Rehabilitation from the Camilo José Cela University and a master's degree in General Health Psychology from the UCM. She became interested in research and university teaching during the degree. Maria has been collaborating with the Universidad Pontifica de Comillas, UCM and Hospital Beata Maria Ana in various research projects.
Her main areas of interest are perinatal psychology, cognitive styles based on the attachment bond and maternal-fetal bonding. Her doctoral studies are focused on the influence of a ruminative response style in the development and maintenance of perinatal depression and subsequent postpartum depression and future deterioration of the maternal-fetal bond due to depressive psychopathology and ruminative style.
