Ana Mar Pacheco-Romero
I graduated from Psychology at UCM in 2018. This same year I took off to Belgium where I pursued a Master of Research at KU Leuven. There, I worked with two research groups: the Center for the Psychology of Learning and Experimental Psychopathology, where I studied cognitive vulnerabilities in depression using reinforcement learning paradigms; and the Center for Contextual Psychiatry, where I focused on psychosocial stress and positive affect
using ESM techniques.
Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in the Department of Clinical Psychology at UCM. With my research, I aim to better understand the emotional and cognitive processes underlying the emergence and recurrence of depression, with a multilevel approach. I am particularly interested in understanding temporal and intraindividual dynamics related to positive emotion regulation strategy use in the context of depression symptomatology. To do so, I am applying ESM techniques which I specialize in.
