Joint Supervision
Collaboration Agreements
The past years the PhD program has established agreements for joint supervision with European universities, such as VU Amsterdam or the University of Bucharest. In addition, agreements for internships have been signed with La Asociación Zamora Protohistórica and la Real Fábrica de Tapices de Madrid. Lastly, internship agreements have been established with the OPE UCM.
The Doctoral School notifies on 27/11/2020 that:
At UCM, it is possible to apply for the International Mention with a joint supervision agreement, but it would only be noted as Mention on the certificate issued by UCM, not by the other university. You are required to submit a certificate of the research stay, signed by the foreign institution and indicating the exact dates of the stay. A document signed by the Supervisors stating that the student has completed the stay period established in the agreement will not be valid.
To award the International Mention to theses under a joint supervision, the required research stay must be carried out at an institution other than those included in the joint supervision agreement.
