Duration and continuity

Fees400 €/academic year

Places12 positions (7 for full-time, 4 for part-time). Applications evaluated on an individual basis, according to existing regulations and taking the academic profile of the applicants and their thesis proposals into consideration.

Languages in which the programnme is taught: Mainly in English. Writing the thesis in English is encouraged.

Language level to enter the programme: English C-1 and Spanish B-2

Access profiles:

  • Profile 1 (recommended): Students with specific training in the field of English Linguistics. (60 ECTS Postgraduate credits in subjects and methodology directly related to research in English Linguistics).
  • Profile 2: Graduates in English Studies or related degrees who have completed a Master's degree related to the discipline (Master's Degree in Teacher Training, Master's Degree in Spanish for Foreigners, Master's Degree in Literary Studies, Master's Degree in Literary Translation, Master's Degree in Theater and Scenic Arts, etc.). Up to a maximum of 18 credits of bridging modules in the first year of studies.
  • Profile 3: Students without specific training in English Linguistics, who present an adequate justification and a research proposal consistent with the objectives of the Programme. Up to a maximum of 18 credits of bridging modules in the first year of studies.

Syllabus:

  • Bridging modules (only for Profiles 2 and 3): Bridging modules may be required for candidates whose CV is lacking in relation to current research in English Linguistics. These modules usually correspond to subjects of the Master in English Linguistics and International Communication.
