Program Structure
The Master in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine consists of two Theoretical Modules and the Final Master's Project.
Module 1- «Advanced Methodologies». This module is obligatory, consisting of one Material with two obligatory courses:
- 1. 1 Biomolecular Methodologies. Students have to take the two 6 ECTS courses:
- 1.1.1 Structure and Function of Proteins and Proteomics (Required) (6 ECTS)
- 1.1.2 Cell Cultures and Stem Cell Biology (Required) (6 ECTS)
Module 2: «Advances in Biomolecular Research» . This module is obligatory, consisting of two obligatory Materials with optative courses:
- 2.1. Molecular, Structural and Systems Biology. Students have to take at least one 6 ECTS course among the following:
- 2.1.1 Biological and Lipidomic Membranes (Optional) (6 ECTS)
- 2.1.2 Genomes and Genomic Analysis (Optiona) (6 ECTS)
- 2.1.3 Computational and Systems Biology (Optiona) (6 ECTS)
- 2.1.4 Cell Signaling Mechanisms (Optiona) (6 ECTS)
- 2.2. Biomedical Research.Students have to take at least one 6 ECTS course among the following:
- 2.2.1 Molecular Biology of Cancer (Optiona) (6 ECTS)
- 2.2.2 Advances in Neurobiology and Neurodegenerative Diseases (Optiona) (6 ECTS)
- 2.2.3 Molecular Basis of Metabolic Diseases (Optiona) (6 ECTS)
