On Tuesday 19 September 2023, Dr. Antonio Salinas participated in the clinical-basic research session TRANSFIERE12 of the imas12 Institute entitled "Design and evaluation of new bone substitutes based on bioceramics, biomolecules and mesenchymal cells".

These monthly sessions organised by Dr. Jose María Aguado aim to stimulate interaction between basic and clinical researchers to optimise the establishment of synergies, the development of quality research and the optimal translation of the results into clinical practice.

In today`s session Dr. Beatriz Bravo presented the health problem of biomaterials in orthopaedic surgery and Dr. Antonio Salinas the development of biomaterials based on bioceramics that can be used for this application. Finally, both presented the joint results obtained in recent years, including the defence of 6 doctoral theses and the publication of several articles in high impact journals.
