A new collaboration has been created between Prof. Vallet-Regí group and Dr. Inmaculada Ibáñez leader group of “Terapias Experimentales y Biomarcadores en Cáncer” IdiPaz. The collaboration objective is focused on the investigation of potential pulmonary cancer treatment by the application of mesoporous silica nanoparticles as drug delivery system. Both groups have decided to pull together and boost the research combining different fields. The discussed approach would take advantage of the promising results of nanoparticles as biomolecules nanocarriers and the biochemist strategies investigated by Dr. Inmaculada Ibáñez group for cancer remission.
