Prof Maria Vallet Regi first researcher to receive two important European awards
As reported in June, María Vallet-Regí has received two important European awards this September:
- The 2019 gold medal of the European Federation of Materials Science Societies (FEMS).
- The George Winter Award of the European Society for Biomaterials (ESB).
On that occasion, it was not stated that in both cases they are prizes with a long trajectory that had never before been received by a woman. Moreover, in the case of the FEMS gold medal, it is the first Spaniard to receive it. The awards ceremony took place during the Congresses of both scientific societies held in Stockholm and Dresden, respectively, after giving Professor Vallet Regi two plenary lectures.
