The Extraordinary PhD Award is an honourable mention that will be included in the academic record of the person who obtains it. The Governing Council of the Complutense University of Madrid, at the proposal of the respective Boards of the Centre, may award the honorary mention of the Extraordinary PhD Prize under the conditions established in the Regulations, to doctors who have defended their thesis in a given academic year, and provided the requirements established therein are met.
