Material Resources
Resources, infrastructures and services offered by the programme (IT labs, bibliographic resources, libraries, study rooms...)
In addition to the necessary classrooms, seminars and spaces suitable for holding scientific and academic events (Graduation Hall, Assembly Hall, Meeting Room), the Faculty has six IT labs, Archaeology and Physical Geography laboratories and a Museum of American Anthropology. The general collections housed in the UCM Library are available to all students, regardless of the faculty in which they are enrolled. The Faculty of Geography and History library contains around 400,000 volumes and the Marqués de Valdecilla Historical Library houses collections containing some 3,000 manuscripts, 728 incunabula and a volume of almost 100,000 printed works dating from the 16th to 18th centuries. UCM’s Virtual Campus (CV-UCM) extends the services and features offered by the university campus through information and communication technologies. The UCM-VC is a set of spaces and tools on the Internet that support learning, teaching, research and personnel management, and are permanently available to all members of the university community. Students can access online services through the UCM’s Wi-Fi network.
