Dr. Sahba Mobini impartió una conferencia el 16 de Octubre del 2019 dentro del programa de la asignatura Introducción a los Biomateriales coordinado por el Prof. Daniel Arcos.
Dr. Sahba Mobini obtained the Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic University in 2012, focused on design, fabrication and characterization of bio-scaffolds from natural silk for bone tissue engineering applications. She carried out her postdoctoral research in Germany, UK, and USA focused on the role of physical cues (e.g., electrical stimulation and surface topography) in order to develop in vitro models and test new therapeutics for tissue regeneration. In 2018 she was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship and joined Instituto de Micro y Nanotecnología at CSIC. Currently, she is opening her line and leading a project funded by Comunidad de Madrid Atracción de Talento Programme, to incorporate electrical stimulation to in vitro systems for developing therapeutics for neural damage in CNS.
