Teaching collaboration

This collaboration can be developed either through the teaching of some classes or seminars in the subject of a colleague or member of the laboratory or by putting students in contact with each other for the development of joint tasks.

Research and innovation

In DRL you will find a group of professionals, teachers and experts interested in collaboration and exchange of ideas and experiences. Among the main objectives is to improve the research developed in this field, with quality empirical studies of international character. This laboratory aims to be a point of contact and knowledge of the research trajectories of our colleagues as well as a support when applying for research projects and the development of research tasks.

Exploring Social Conflicts Through Photovoice: An International and Interdisciplinary Perspective

This innovative teaching project, funded by the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) for the 2024-2025 academic year, explores the use of photovoice as a tool to analyze social conflicts from an international and interdisciplinary perspective. Through collaboration between professors and students from various fields and countries, photovoice provides a comparative understanding of common issues, using visual expression for analysis.

The project involves 49 participants from 9 countries, including Belgium,United States, United Kingdom, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, and Thailand. Photovoice (VOICE: Voicing Our Individual and Collective Experience) is a participatory research-action strategy that utilizes photography for social change. By sharing images and stories, participants offer diverse perspectives on social realities, fostering understanding and potentially influencing policy reform.
