The projects carried out within the Institute for Knowledge Technology are largely oriented towards facilitating user interaction with computer applications, as well as the social applications of new knowledge-based technologies. This includes, on the one hand, multimodal interaction, virtual and augmented reality, as well as the use of natural language, the processing of large amounts of data (Big Data), which must be supported by new high-performance, distributed computing hardware architectures.
