BIO
Born in Burgos. Gold medal in the Spanish Mathematical Olympiad 1998.
PhD in Mathematics at UCM in 2011, extraordinary award.
José Luis Rubio de Francia Award 2013 (Spanish Royal Mathematical Society).
After postdoc experience in Paris (Institut de Mathematiques de Jussieu) and ICMAT, she works in UCM since 2016.
She has enjoyed invited research stays in Lille (visiting researcher), IMPA, Paris, Utah, Nice, ... She has been an invited speaker in more than 60 conferences, seminars and courses in national and international events.
She has co-supervised two Phd Thesis and several Master Thesis. She is currently on of the PI's of the Spanish ministry research project of the Singularity Group in Madrid.
Among her best works are the solution of the Nash Conjecture on the arc space of surface singularities with Javier Fernández de Bobadilla (published in Annals of Math.) and the definition, with other authors, of a metric and dynamical algebraic topology (published in Comm. on Pure and App. Math. and IMRN).
She also develops outreach activities, she collaborates with the Spanish Mathematical Olympiad and with ESTALMAT, an activity for talented children of the Spanish Royal Academy of Science.
Research Interest:
Algebra, geometry and topology, and their applications to singularity theory.
