Contracted doctor
Type of position
- Teaching and research staff.
- The purpose is to develop, with full teaching and research capacity, teaching and research tasks, or research as a priority.
- Permanent and full-time contract.
Access requirements
You must hold a PhD and have obtained a positive evaluation from ANECA, the Agency for Quality, Accreditation and Prospective Studies of the Universities of Madrid or from an agency that has an agreement with them. The requirements to pass this assessment are different and more demanding than those required for people who aspire to the figure of assistant doctor, and coincide with those required to be accredited as a private university professor.
How to access
Universities call for open positions directly. At UCM, selection processes are held in which the merits of the candidates are assessed, on the one hand on the basis of the documentation they provide, and, for those that exceed a certain threshold, an oral presentation and debate. You can see the complete process and the scales applied here.
Provenance
Frequently these are people who have previously held the position of assistant doctor, or some type of postdoctoral contract (FPU, FPI, Ramón y Cajal or others).
