Professor Cristina Montiel has been a visiting academic in the Department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics of the University of Ottawa, Canada from 10 to 29 October 2022.

During her stay, she gave several guest lectures on Spatial Planning and Environmental Geography. Besides, she established a fruitful academic dialogue with the Canadian colleagues leading to future exchanges and academic cooperation. She also contacted the researchers on fire management in Natural Resources Canada to explore their mutula areas of interest.
