Information on the deposit of the thesis in the E-Prints repository
The Royal Decree 99/2011 of 28 January regulating official doctoral studies, establishes in its articles 14.5 and 6 that, once the thesis defence is pass, the university will take care of archiving in an open electronic format in an institutional repository and will send, in electronic format, a copy of the thesis as well as all additional information that may be necessary to the Ministry of Education for the appropriate purposes.
In order to give wider dissemination to the research results of the doctoral thesis, the UCM will be in charge of publishing the digital version of the thesis in the E-Prints institutional repository. You can find more information about E-Prints on the following link: Information E-Prints
The open access publication of the thesis in the E-Prints repository in no case implies the exclusive transfer of the rights that as the author of the thesis are recognized by the Intellectual Property Law. You can find more information about copyright on the following link: Copyright
In exceptional circumstances determined by the Academic Committee responsible for the PhD programme (such as, among others, the participation of companies in the research, the existence of confidentiality agreements with companies or the possibility of generating patents on part of the content of the thesis), the Doctorate Committee may provisionally limit public access to certain parts of the thesis and must demand a written confidentiality commitment from those who are authorized to consult it.
