Yolanda Álvarez González is a doctor in Prehistory and Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid.
She has developed numerous projects of excavation, prospecting and enhancement of heritage elements for 30 years, mainly focused on the Iron Age and the Roman world, among which those carried out in the city of San Cibrán de Las (Ourense), in the fort of Sta. Mª de Cervantes, Castromaior, fort of Viladonga, fort of Arxeriz (Lugo), fort of Baroña, fort of Elviña (Coruña), Campatorres, Old Tabacalera (Asturias) and other interventions associated with Roman mining carried out in Las Médulas (León), a World Heritage Site.
She is the author of a large number of scientific publications indexed in directories of scientific bibliography.
Currently, she combines her teaching work at the Complutense University with carrying out archaeological projects and interventions in different parts of the northwest of the peninsula.
Research lines: Prehistory, Archeology of Architecture, Management of Archaeological Heritage, Population and cultural transformations in the Iron Age. Mining and Roman occupation in the northwest.
