Archaeologist. PhD in Geography and History from Complutense University of Madrid.
Professor at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of the Technical University of Madrid, where he teaches History of Architecture and Urbanism and Archeology of Architecture.
Specialist in Cultural Heritage, he has long experience in intervention projects for Built Heritage and has directed archaeological excavations and historical research work on monuments and historical sites in Spain and Latin America.
He is the Director of the Traditional Architecture Research Center (CIAT in Spanish), a member of the Institute of Cultural Heritage within Ricardo Palma University (Peru) and of the Royal Academy of History and Art of "San Quirce de Segovia", Institute of Spain.
Since 1999 he has co-directed the “Piura la Vieja” archaeological project, in which a large Spanish and Peruvian team from the University of Piura and the Technical University of Madrid works. This project has the help of the municipality of La Matanza and the Spanish Agency for Cooperation International for Development (AECID in Spanish).
