Information
Milagros Palma Crespo is an architect, Assistant Professor at the Department of Architectural Construction and Technology at the School of Architecture of the UPM and member of the Research Group Analysis and Intervention in Architectural Heritage. She teaches in the MUCRPA (Master's Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Architectural Heritage). She has been Visiting Professor at the Politecnico di Torino and guest lecturer at several foreign universities: La Sapienza, Rome; Politecnico di Milano; IUAV Venezia; Roma Tre, and at the International Laboratory of Architectural Restoration and Urban Recovery, Universidad Internacional Andalucía. As an architect, in addition to rehabilitation and new construction, with which she won the VII Provincial Architecture Prize of the COAJ 2010, she has been mainly dedicated to the restoration of architectural heritage, whose works include the restoration of the Castle of La Guardia de Jaén (BIC - Cultural Interest Good in Spanish), Convent of Santa Catalina de Siena, Granada (BIC) or the Casa de los Priores, Jaén. She has participated in the organisation of congresses and scientific committees, being scientific director of the ReUSO 2017 Congress. Her research focuses on the restoration and conservation of architectural heritage, having participated in various research and teaching innovation projects, as well as in scientific publications and conferences.
