Information
Assistant Professor in the Department of Art History at the Complutense University of Madrid. He holds a degree in Art History and a Master's degree in Advanced Studies in Spanish Art History from the UCM, a PhD in Art History from the Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna and a PhD in Archaeology from the Rovira i Virgili University - Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology, with an extraordinary award. He has held the FPU scholarship at the Rovira i Virgili University, the Juan de la Cierva-Training grant-contract at the CSIC (CCHS, Institute of History, Department of History of Art and Heritage) and the Juan de la Cierva- Incorporation grant-contract at the University of Valladolid (Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, Department of History of Art). At the latter institution he has been Assistant Professor of Art History. He has also enjoyed stays at the following centres: Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art, Università di Roma La Sapienza, Harvard University, Ricci Institute - Boston College and Sorbonne Université. He is also linked to the Royal College of Spain in Bologna as colegial consiliario.
Throughout his career he has developed the research line Hispanic Art in the genesis of early globalisation (14th-17th centuries), which covers the elements that form the backbone of Spanish art in its diversity.
