Manuel de la Calle Vaquero is Associate Professor in the Department of Geography (Complutense University of Madrid). He is part of the research team “Turismo, Patrimonio y Desarrollo” [Tourism, Heritage and development] (https://www.ucm.es/geoturis) focused on cultural tourism and tourism planning of heritage sites. He has published several works on this topic as well as monographic books such as La ciudad históricas como destino turístico [Historic towns as tourist destination] (ed. Ariel) and Turismo cultural [Cultural Tourism] (ed. Síntesis, with J.I. Pulido y M. Velasco).
