PhD Civil Engineer, committed to the social and cultural value of public works.

Associate Professor at the School for Civil Engineering of the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) in the subjects of landscape, construction history and creative design. He is recognized with the UPM Educational Innovation Award.

With 18 years of postdoctoral research activity, he is member of the LoCUS UPM Research Group and is director of research at the Miguel Aguilo Foundation (FMA). He works in the research areas of cultural landscape, construction history and the heritage value of public works.

He has 25 years of professional experience in projects of bridges, structures, stations, light-rails and metros, specialising in the management of complex multidisciplinary international projects. He has been awarded in 5 international competitions with a jury.
