Equipment and laboratories
The research group occupies three laboratories at the Physical Chemistry Department of the Complutense University, one equipped with standard chemistry facilities and equipment, another one hosting a hyperspectral dark field microscope, and another one equipped with standard biology equipment. More sophisticated equipment includes several UV-VIS and UV-VIS-NIR, fluorescence, Raman spectrophotometers, a dynamic light scattering-zeta potential setup, optical microscope and electrophoresis. Additionally, we have access to the central research services of the Complutense University, including a battery of femtosecond and nanosecond pulse lasers, various scanning and transmission electron microscopes, scanning probe microscopy, atomic force microscopes, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and fluorescence, NMR, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis, among other techniques.
