Jon Williamson
- Jon Williamson is Professor of Reasoning, Inference and Scientific Method at the University of Kent. Jon works on causality, probability, logics and reasoning, and their application in the sciences. He has developed an epistemic theory of causality (see, e.g., Bayesian nets and causality, OUP 2005), defended a particular epistemic interpretation of probability (In defence of objective Bayesianism, OUP 2010), worked on a unifying framework for probabilistic logic (Probabilistic logics and probabilistic networks, Springer 2011), and is currently developing a Bayesian version of inductive logic. He is editor of the gazette The Reasoner.
