PhD Student
I found my scientific vocation during the last year of high school. While I was studying the undergaduate in Biochemistry in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) I developed my passion on basic science, focusing my curiosity on molecular biology and cell signaling as the origin of several physiological processes.
After getting in contact with different research fields during my MSc studies at Imperial College of London (ICL), I found my main interest on the antibiotic resistance topic due to its global importance as an increasing health problem and the little that is known of its molecular principles. The opportunity of doing my PhD unveiling the role of integrons in antibiotic resistance offers me a perspective both challenging and promising to continue with a scientific formation and to contribute to a better comprehension of this phenomenon.
