My work focuses on the analysis of omics data, mainly genomics and transcriptomics, to study the effect of climate change on different conifer species. The complexity of the genome of these trees, which are large and have a high percentage of repetitive sequences, poses a computational challenge, but we are using all the big data analysis tools available to understand how they respond to new unfavorable environmental conditions and predict their capacity for adaptation and survival. |
