Este Máster propio de la UCM responde a un vacío que existe en el panorama de titulaciones en relación a la difusión de las distintas escuelas y teorías de historia del pensamiento económico y empresarial, así como la comprensión de los fundamentos de las controversias que se producen entre ellas. El reciente bestseller de Lawrence White (2015) El choque de las ideas económicas, Ed. Antoni Bosch, muestra el interés que hay en conocer las razones de las más señaladas disputas en tre economistas, en definitiva, hacer un viaje por las ideas que han marcado el pensamiento económico hasta su forma actual: ¿Cómo combatir la pobreza, la desigualdad, el paro ¿Hay que tener austeridad, gasto público, regulación, privatizaciones?

El Máster tiene la opción de ser impartido en español y en inglés. Para optar por la segunda opción, hay que ponerse en contacto con la Coordinación del Master (MasterPensEco@ucm.es ).

The Master´s course is filling the gap existing at present in the area of European degrees related to the diffusion of the various schools and theories related to economic and business thought, as well as understanding the bases for the controversies occurring between them. The recent best-seller of Lawrence Wright´s The clash of economic ideas, published by Antoni Bosch shows how much interest exists in ascertaining the reasons for the most significant disputes among economists. In fact, you will journey among the ideas that have marked economic thought up to its present-day form: How to fight poverty, inequality, unemployment, Do we have to have austerity, public spending, regulation, privatization. What type of labour market reform has to be made?
