Short biography

Francisco D. Igual-Peña was born in Castellón, Spain, in 1983. He received the M.S. in Computer Science (2006) at the Universitat Jaume I de Castelló, and his Ph.D. degree at the same University (2011, with highest honors).

In March 2012 he joined the Department of Computer Architecture and Automation at UCM as a postdoc researcher under the Juan de la Cierva program, and he became Assistant Professor in 2013.

His research interests include high performance and parallel computing, low-power architectures, image and video processing on novel architectures and general-purpose computing on graphics processors (GPGPU).
