Jaime Curbera estudió en la UCM. Posteriormente estuvo en Roma y en Atenas con diversas becas. Desde 2000 trabaja en el Proyecto Inscriptiones Graecae en Berlín, donde ha editado los volúmenes de las dedicaciones áticas de época post-Euclídea y de las tablillas de defixión áticas. Su interés principal es la onomástica del griego.
