José Manuel Correoso-Rodenas holds a PhD in English (Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Spain) and he is currently an Assistant Professor of English at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain). His areas of interest and research are mainly Gothic Literature and Native American Studies, in which he has presented several papers at national and international conferences. Among his recent publications, some of the most outstanding examples are: Flannery O’Connor y la literatura gótica (Ediciones de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha) and “The Hybrid (Gothic) Categories of Manifest Destiny (Vols. 1-6)” (Ediciones de la Universidad de Salamanca). He has also edited the volume Teaching Language and Literature On and Off-Canon (IGI Global). Currently, he is a member of the Research Group “Poetics and Emerging Textualities: 19th to 21st Centuries” (Universidad Complutense de Madrid), the Research Group “Multidisciplinary Studies in Literature and Art -LyA-” (Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha), and of the Research Groups’ Network “Aglaya: Cultural Myth-Criticism 2020-2,” sponsored by the regional government of Madrid.

José Manuel Correoso Rodenas es Doctor en Filología Inglesa por la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Actualmente, es Profesor Ayudante Doctor en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Departamento de Estudios Ingleses: Lingüística y Literatura; Facultad de Filología). Su campo de estudio se centra, principalmente, en la literatura gótica, tanto europea como norteamericana, así como en sus interrelaciones y sus conexiones con la cultura histórica de ambas regiones. Otra de sus áreas de interés son los Estudios Nativo-Americanos. Entre sus publicaciones más recientes, sobresalen Flannery O’Connor y la literatura gótica (Ediciones de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha) y “The Hybrid (Gothic) Categories of Manifest Destiny (Vols. 1-6)” (Ediciones de la Universidad de Salamanca), así como la coordinación del volumen Teaching Language and Literature On and Off-Canon (IGI Global). Actualmente es miembro del Grupo de Investigación “Poéticas y textualidades emergentes. Siglos XIX-XXI” de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, al Grupo de Investigación “Estudios Interdisciplinares en Literatura y Arte -LyA-” (Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha) y de la Red de Grupos de Investigación “Aglaya Mitocrítica Cultural 2020-2”, financiada por la Comunidad de Madrid.
