Pablo A. Artero Abellán es profesor asociado del Departamento de Estudios Ingleses: Lingüística y Literatura. Imparte clases en el Grado de Estudios Ingleses en la Facultad de Filología y en el grado de Turismo en la Facultad de Comercio y Turismo.

Posee el Grado en Estudios Ingleses (2014), Máster en Formación del Profesorado (2015), Máster en Lingüística Inglesa (2016) por la Universidad Complutense además del Máster en Español Lengua Extranjera por la Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (2019) y el Máster en Análisis Político por la Universidad Abierta de Cataluña (2022).

Ha realizado estancias de investigación y docencia como asistente en Occidental College (USA) y en Wesleyan University (USA) de la mano del International Education of Students (IES) así como de también en liceos franceses (Antoine Kelá, Nueva Caledonia) en colaboración con el Ministerio de Educación.

Como actual doctorando, su interés investigativo se enmarca dentro del área del análisis del discurso crítico, con un énfasis especial en la política y la comunicación. Otros campos de trabajo de su interés incluyen el área educativa y la formación del profesorado. En este sentido, colabora como consultor con la Universidad Internacional de Valencia (VIU).

 

Pablo A. Artero Abellán is an adjunct professor at the Department of English Studies: Language and Linguistics. He teaches English and English for Specific Purposes in two different degrees: English Studies and Tourism.     

He holds a BA in English Studies (2014), an MA in Teacher Training for Secondary Education (2015), and an MA in English Linguistics (2015) from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He has also earned an MA in Spanish as a Foreign Language from Francisco de Vitoria University (2019) as well as an MSc in Political Analysis (2022) from The Open University of Catalonia.

The development of his research and teaching career has taken him to stays at Occidental College (USA), Wesleyan University (USA) and then to French overseas high school institutions (Lycée Antoine Kela) thanks to the International Education of Students (IES) and the Spanish Ministry of Education.

As a researcher and PhD candidate, his fields of research are framed upon the areas of critical discourse analysis with special emphasis on politics, communication, speech delivery and the media. Other research interests also include education and teacher education in higher education. On this matter, he is a consultant at Valencian International University (VIU).
