On May 30th and 31st, 2024, the I CLARIAH-CM Workshop was held at the Complutense University of Madrid.
In addition to offering training through various workshops, the event showcased research projects and posters related to Digital Humanities and Language Technologies, involving the six public universities of Madrid.
The I CLARIAH-CM Workshop at the Complutense University of Madrid was attended by Vicente Parras, Deputy Director General of Technological Innovation of the Community of Madrid; Lucía de Juan Ferré, Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer (Complutense University); Fernando Enrique García Muiña, Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation, and Transfer (Rey Juan Carlos University); Silvia Gumiel Molina, Dean of the Faculty of Philology (University of Alcalá de Henares); Germán Rigau, National Coordinator of CLARIAH-ES (UPV/EHU); and Dolores Romero López, Coordinator of the CLARIAH-CM Node (Complutense University).
The congress was officially closed by Amaya Mendikoetxea Pelayo, Rector of the Autonomous University of Madrid, and Luis Enrique García Muñoz, Vice-Rector for Research (Carlos III University of Madrid).
The workshops were led by Mikel Iruskieta, Elena Battaner, David Lindemann, and Gustavo Candela.
Research projects linked to the six public universities of Madrid were presented by Inés Fernández-Ordóñez, Pablo Calleja and Patricia Martín, Luis Fernando D'Haro Enríquez, Raquel Lázaro, Matilde Eiroa San Francisco, and Manuel Alcántara.
