Admission Requirements

1.- Follow the steps of the application procedure at KU Leuven website (coordinating university of the program). The student must be accepted at Leuven in order to begin the BAES.

• Diploma requirements for students with a degree obtained at an institution of the Flemish Community & outside the Flemish Community

This procedure is required to be accepted in any of the start universities of BAES as "Start University"

2.- To comply with the national and regional Spanish law, students that have been conditionally admitted at UCM as start university must follow an extra pre-inscription application. This procedure is different according to your previous studies:

• Studies in Spain that give access to the University:  
• Studies in the European Union that give access to the University and if your family has residence in Spain:  
  
• Studies in the European Union that give access to the University and if your family has not residence in Spain or Non-European studies that give you access to the University:   

Language Requirements (*)

An English language certificate will be required, all applicants must prove their English language proficiency.

The programme accepts the following tests as a proof of English proficiency:

• TOEFL iBT test (internet the Home Edition and Paper Edition). The minimum overall score is 79 (we do not accept MyBest scores)
•  IELTS Academic Test (including the paper, computer and online test). The minimum overall score is 6.5 (we do not accept IELTS One Skill Retake scores)
•  Cambridge English. Advanced (CAE) (C1); Proficiency (CPA) (C2) 
•  ITACE C1 or C2 (These tests can only be taken in Belgium)

Applicants who hold a prior secondary education degree or higher education degree awarded by an English-speaking programme from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom or the USA, shall automatically be exempted from the language requirement.

(*) Spanish language requirement is not necessary for international students who apply to this programme, but may be required for specializations (majors) and internships.
