Rheumatic Diseases Day

Every year on 12th October, World Rheumatic Diseases Day highlights the importance of raising awareness of these diseases, which affect more than 200 million people worldwide.

Far from being an exclusive problem of the elderly, rheumatic diseases can manifest themselves at different stages of life and have a significant impact on the quality of life of those affected.

At this event, rheumatologists and scientists will present the latest advances in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, spondylarthritis and lupus. Patients also play a central role in a round table discussion where they share their experiences and reflect on the day-to-day physical, emotional and social challenges of these chronic diseases.

This activity not only promotes knowledge and awareness but also strengthens the commitment of the scientific and medical community to improving the well-being of patients.
