Research Teams and Lines

Karolina Tecza

I studied my Bachelor Degree in Biology and the Master Degree in Sanitary Biology, both at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

During my years as a student, my curiosity for research was growing, which led me to do both my Bachelor's and Master's thesis in the group. In both works I studied the effect of VIP in cells from osteoarthritis patients and in chondrogenic differentiation. Both works were carried out under the supervision of Selene Pérez García.

My doctoral thesis is also focused on the investigation of the role of VIP in osteoarthritis, in which I will use different patient samples as well as in vitro and in vivo methodologies, under the direction of Carmen Martínez Mora and Selene Pérez García.
