Research Teams and Lines

Iván García López

I graduated with a degree in Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2023 and I am currently doing a master’s in health biology at the same university.

I started collaborating with the group during my undergraduate thesis, in which we studied the effect of VIP in the process of osteogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells, under the supervision of Mar Carrión and David Castro. Following this line, my master’s thesis, supervised by Mar Carrión and Yasmina Juarranz, focuses on the role of VIP as a modulator of the cells present in the bone microenvironment, focusing on its effect on the regulatory activity of osteoblastic lineage cells.

During these years, I have been able to develop the knowledge acquired in my academic training, which in turn has increased my interest in research, especially in the field of health biology.
