Cristina Rodríguez Hernández
I finished my degree in Biology at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2024, and I am currently enrolled in the Master's Degree in Health Biology at the same university.
I started collaborating with the group during my Bachelor Project, studying the VIP/receptor axis in chondrocytes from healthy donors and in osteoarthritis patients, under the supervision of Selene Pérez García. Continuing with this, my Master's thesis, directed by Selene Pérez García and Carmen Martínez Mora, is based on obtaining a more complete view of this VIP/receptor axis, also studying possible SNPs correlated with the progression of osteoarthritis, and the use of organoid models.
During these years, I have been able to acquire a great deal of knowledge, both theoretical and practical, as well as developing critical thinking, which is essential in the world of research. All this has made me increasingly interested in research, especially in the possibilities offered by health biology.
