Writing to Heal: Escritura creativa terapéutica digital en lengua inglesa

Within the framework of the project Writing to Heal: Digital therapeutic creative writing in English, university students will be able to attend (in person or online) a digital therapeutic writing workshop in English to learn literary techniques and digital tools, participate in the Judith Shakespeare contest and publish their poems and stories. The workshop will be followed by a seminar on therapeutic world literature and a call for articles on therapeutic literature for publication.
En el marco del proyecto Writing to Heal: Escritura creativa terapéutica digital en lengua inglesa, alumnos y alumnas universitarios podrán asistir (en modalidad presencial u online) a un taller de escritura terapéutica digital en lengua inglesa con el fin de aprender técnicas literarias y herramientas digitales, participar en el concurso Judith Shakespeare y publicar sus poemas y cuentos. Después del taller tendrá lugar un seminario sobre literaturas del mundo terapéuticas y un llamamiento a presentar artículos sobre literatura terapéutica con el objetivo de ser publicados.

Workshops
The workshops will be in English language except for the introductory one, which will be a therapeutic session about "Biodanza y poesía" by psychotherapist Raiza Luis, in which the group members will meet each other to build a collective connection and write their first healing poem. It is recommendable to attend this workshop before the others so that the group members meet each other and create a therapeutic creative network.
24 LUNES-27 JUEVES ABRIL (online cualquier día) "I am blocked, therefore I write": guidelines on how to survive the writer's block, por Ane Lucas Gómez & Maya Caravella. Description: have you ever seen yourself so empty of ideas that even writing the simplest of the words seems just as hard as climbing Mount Everest? Is it possible to escape the labyrinth of the writer's block? In this online workshop - podcast format -, students will be provided with different tools and exercises that may be useful to deal with it. These exercises will be shown as games in an attempt to avoid any sort of pressure or anxiety that could be feeding the block.
24 LUNES 18-19.30h (presencial UCM) “La Poética de Encuentro Humano” Biodanza y Poesía (Sistema Rolando Toro) por Raiza Luis Lozada Descripción; Crear juntos un espacio de expresión creativa con nuestro yo auténtico en conexión cuerpo, alma y espíritu. Objetivos específicos: Rescatar la corporeidad como vivencia en la expresión poética. Reconocer la grandeza del ser creativo que Soy. Danzar en resonancia con nuestra melodía creativa. Caminar en sincronía con los otros Crear mi poema. Expresarme en un espacio seguro sin límites.
25 MARTES 18-19.30h (presencial UCM) "Treatment Available Today: Poetry Writing” bySylvie Riesco Bernier Description: In this practical workshop, students will explore the power of writing poetry to heal guilt and pain. They will enter an emotional lab. They will experiment with words to dissect pain and guilt and will write a verbal ointment to feel relief.
26 MIÉRCOLES 18-19.30h (presencial UCM) "Feeling through the eyes" porBrenda Álvarez Lora y "Healing InstaPoetry and Videopoetry" by Maya Zalbidea . Description: Feeling through the eyes is a proposal that aims to encourage creative writing through the sense of sight. In this workshop, students will be able to develop their creativity by writing about what a series of images make them feel. Finally, each student will have to create a composition that brings together each of the small compositions." After, in "Healing InstaPoetry and Videopoetry" students will get to know instapoetry and videopoetry and will learn digital tools to create and publish their own instapoems and videopoems within the theme of trauma and healing.
27 JUEVES 18-19.30h (presencial UCM) "Healing through Fairy Tales?" por Francisco Molina Moreno Description: after a short theoretical introduction to the topic, attendants will be invited to choose a topic, character, or symbol that could inspire them to write a fairy tale. They will draft a fairy tale that they will tell for the other attendants to listen to.
