Sara Prieto García-Cañedo holds a BA in English Studies from the University of Oviedo and a PhD in English Studies from the University of Alicante, where she was an FPI scholar from the Spanish Ministry of Research and Innovation. She has taught at the University of Alicante, the State University of New York and she is currently working as an assistant professor at the Catholic University of Murcia. Her research focuses on literary journalism during the First World War, but she is also interested in other fictional and non-fictional representations of war by marginal voices throughout the first half of the 20th century. She is part of the web team of the International Assocation for First World War Studies since 2012 and she has been awarded the AEDEAN "Catalina Montes Award" in 2013 and 2014. 

Sara Prieto García Cañedo es licenciada en filología inglesa por la Universidad de Oviedo y doctora por en estudios ingleses por la Universidad de Alicante, donde fue becaria FPI del MINECO. Ha impartido docencia en la Universidad de Alicante, la State University of New York y actualmente es profesora ayudante en la Universidad Católica de Murcia. Sus publicaciones se centran en el estudio del periodismo literario durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, pero también está interesada en otras formas de representación de la guerra durante la primera mitad del siglo XX, principalmente las llevadas a cabo por figuras marginales. Es parte del equipo web de la International Society of First World War Studies y ha ganado el premio "Catalina Montes" de AEDEAN en 2013 y 2014.
