Noelia Ramos
Noelia Ramos-Soria is a PhD researcher at the University of Vigo. She holds an MA in Teacher Training for Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, and Languages from the University of Alfonso X el Sabio (2020), and a BA in English Studies from the University of Lleida (2018), with academic distinctions from the University of Bologna. Currently, she teaches English at the Official School of Languages (EOI) in Lleida. Her recent publications include: "Rimmo nín Bruinen dan in Ulaer!: Waters of Wisdom and Wonder in Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring (1954)" in the Journal of Tolkien Research (2024), "The world has changed. I see it in the water, I feel it in the Earth, I smell it in the air": The Celtic Otherworld in The Lord of the Rings in JACLR (2024), and "Nin o Chithaeglir Lasto Beth Daer; Rimmo Nin Bruinen Dan In Ulaer!: The Celtic Elements in The Lord of the Rings" in Gaudeamus Journal (2023). Her research interests revolve around Celtic culture and mythology, medieval history, the Arthurian literary cycle, and J.R.R. Tolkien’s life and works, particularly the languages he created, such as Quenya and Sindarin.
Noelia Ramos-Soria es estudiante de doctorado en la Universidad de Vigo. Posee un Máster en Formación del Profesorado de Educación Secundaria, Bachillerato, Formación Profesional y Enseñanza de Idiomas por la Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio (2020) y es graduada en Estudios Ingleses por la Universidad de Lleida (2018), con distinciones académicas por la Universidad de Bolonia. Actualmente, es profesora de inglés en la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas (EOI) de Lleida. Sus publicaciones recientes incluyen: "Rimmo nín Bruinen dan in Ulaer!: Waters of Wisdom and Wonder in Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring (1954)" en la revista Tolkien Research (2024), "The world has changed. Sus intereses de investigación se centran en la cultura y mitología celta, el ciclo literario artúrico, y la vida y obra de J.R.R. Tolkien, especialmente los lenguajes que creó, como el Quenya y el Sindarin.
