María Luz Gracia Gaspar es Doctora Internacional en Estudios Literarios por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, donde también se graduó en Literatura General y Comparada y obtuvo un Máster en Español como Segunda Lengua. Actualmente, es lectora en la Universidad de Lille e investigadora asociada en el Centre d’Études en Civilisations, Langues et Lettres Étrangères (CECILLE).
Ha realizado dos estancias de investigación en el Centre d'Histoire Culturelle des Sociétés Contemporaines de la Universidad de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, gracias a las becas de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y Erasmus+. Sus principales líneas de investigación giran en torno a la poética cognitiva, la multimodalidad y la literatura española contemporánea.
Ha publicado artículos en revistas indexadas y volúmenes colectivos, y actualmente tiene en prensa su libro El libro ilustrado en España (1868-1936): las ilustraciones del Quijote y la novela realista española, que va a ser publicado por la editorial Peter Lang.
Además, ha participado en numerosos congresos nacionales e internacionales, como el Xe Congrès de la Société Européenne de Littérature Comparée (SELC) y el IV Congreso Internacional de la Asociación Española de Teoría de la Literatura (ASETEL). En el ámbito docente, también ha impartido clases de español en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y ha trabajado como tutora académica en el programa de las Universidades de Indiana-Purdue-Wisconsin de esta misma institución. Asimismo, fue becaria en el Departamento de Bibliotecas y Centro de Documentación del Instituto Cervantes.

María Luz Gracia Gaspar holds an International PhD in Literary Studies from the Complutense University of Madrid, where she also graduated in General and Comparative Literature and obtained a Master's degree in Spanish as a Second Language. She is currently a lecturer at the University of Lille and an associate researcher at the Centre d'Études en Civilisations, Langues et Lettres Étrangères (CECILLE).
She has completed two research stays at the Centre d'Histoire Culturelle des Sociétés Contemporaines at the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, thanks to grants from the Complutense University of Madrid and Erasmus+. Her main lines of research revolve around cognitive poetics, multimodality and contemporary Spanish literature.
She has published articles in indexed journals and collective volumes, and currently has in press her book El libro ilustrado en España (1868-1936): las ilustraciones del Quijote y la novela realista española, to be published by Peter Lang.
She has also participated in numerous national and international conferences, such as the 10th Congress of the Société Européenne de Littérature Comparée (SELC) and the 4th International Congress of the Spanish Association of Literary Theory (ASETEL). In the teaching field, she has also taught Spanish at the Complutense University of Madrid and has worked as an academic tutor for the Indiana-Purdue-Wisconsin Universities programme at the same institution. She also held a scholarship in the Department of Libraries and Documentation Centre of the Instituto Cervantes.
