María Abizanda Cardona holds a Degree in English Studies from the University of Zaragoza, where she was granted the Extraordinary Degree Award, and is currently studying a Master’s Degree in Literary and Cultural Studies in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. During her undergraduate studies, she was awarded a Collaboration Grant by the Spanish Ministry of Education, and spent one academic year at the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, UK) as an Erasmus student.  Her research interests include feminism, posthumanism and trauma studies, with a focus on contemporary U.S. speculative fiction. Her undergraduate dissertation "'Having a body doesn't give you any rights at all': Transhumanism and Critical Posthumanism in Catherine Lacey's The Answers" was awarded a distinction by the University of Zaragoza. María Abizanda Cardona es graduada en Estudios Ingleses por la Universidad de Zaragoza, donde obtuvo un premio extraordinario fin de Grado, y actualmente cursa un Máster Universitario en Estudios Literarios y Culturales en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Durante el grado, recibió la Beca de Colaboración del Ministerio de Educación, y realizó una estancia Erasmus en la Universidad de Strathclyde (Glasgow, Reino Unido).
