Luis Cañadilla Pons holds a degree in English Studies at the Complutense University of Madrid, where he is currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree in North American Studies (in a joint program with Franklin institute, University of Alcalá de Henares), aiming to pursue doctoral studies in the future.

As an undergraduate student, his interest in Anglo-American literature allowed him to take part in Innovative Teaching Projects like "Leer en comunidad: creación y desarrollo de clubes de lectura de literatura escrita por mujeres en la universidad" or "Europa y África frente a frente: debates y perspectivas", that aimed to expand the literary knowledge of participants as well as to develop and foster critical thinking and analysis.

Since September 2021, he is part of the peer-review board in the Journal of Artistic Creation and Literary Research (JACLR), where he obtained his first publication in June 2021 in the field of literary research with his article “The Intersection between Ethnicity and Sex: Women’s Activism against Discrimination in America during the XIX Century”.

His main areas of interest are the Victorian period and contemporary literature from English-speaking countries, which is the main reason why he as been immersed in different courses on modernism and postmodernism (Wesleyan University). Likewise, he is interested in Nietzschean theory, which has led him to take introductory courses on philosophy (University of Edinburgh). Finally, he also highlights his interest in myth and its cultural interpretation (myth criticism).

Luis Cañadilla Pons es graduado en Estudios Ingleses por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, donde actualmente cursa un Máster en Estudios Norteamericanos (conjunto con el Instituto Franklin, Universidad de Alcalá de Henares) en vistas a realizar estudios doctorales en el futuro.

Gracias a su desempeño e interés por la literatura Anglo-Norteamericana, durante su etapa como estudiante de grado estuvo involucrado en Proyectos de Innovación Docente como "Leer en comunidad: creación y desarrollo de clubes de lectura de literatura escrita por mujeres en la universidad" o el proyecto "Europa y África frente a frente: debates y perspectivas", destinados a ampliar los conocimientos literarios del alumnado, así como a desarrollar y fomentar la capacidad de análisis crítico.

Desde septiembre de 2021 ejerce como revisor de la revista Journal of Artistic Creation and Literary Research (JACLR), en la que en junio de 2021 obtuvo su primera publicación en JACLR en el campo de investigación literaria con su artículo “The Intersection between Ethnicity and Sex: Women’s Activism against Discrimination in America during the XIX Century”.

Sus principales áreas de interés académico se centran en la literatura victoriana y contemporánea de los países de habla inglesa, es por ello por lo que ha estado inmerso en diferentes cursos de modernismo y postmodernismo (Wesleyan University). Asimismo, su interés en torno a la teoría de Nietzsche le ha llevado a realizar cursos de introducción a la filosofía (University of Edinburgh). Finalmente, destaca también su interés por el mito y su interpretación cultural (mitocrítica).
