Evaluación

The evaluation is based on three parts:

- Individual (on campus or on line) partial tests, assignments, and participation in class (20% of the total grade).

- Group assignment/s (30% of the total grade). All students in the group receive the same mark for the assignment, although a free rider policy (to be discussed and adopted during the course) applies.

- On campus individual exam during the exam period (50% of total grade). The date and hour for this final exam, that includes exercises, will be communicated by the BAES coordinators. Students should attend the exam with a personal calculator. Students may not use the computer calculator (and spreadsheets) or the mobile phone calculator.

The final mark will be the weighted average of the individual partial tests and assignments, participation in class, group assignments and the final exam, with the previously specified weights. No thresholds are applied to each part for the final grade. In other words, it is not necessary to have a minimum grade in any of these parts to pass the course.

Retake exam: Students who do not pass the course in the first call can retake the exam in the extraordinary call. The results of the individual partial tests, participation in class and the assignments will be maintained, regardless of the result. The same weightings will apply for the final mark, but the grade of the final exam will be replaced by the grade of the retake exam.
